The word tattoo comes from the Tahitian “tatu” which means “to mark something.”It is arguably claimed that tattooing has existed since 12,000 years BC. The purpose of tattooing has varies from culture to culture and its place on the time line. But there are commonalties that prevail form the earliest known tattoos to those being done on college students on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley.For many, people in the Philippines still view tattoos as a symbol reserved for those in jail, a dirty expression, and a dying art form with the tribal peoples of the mountain provinces.Once revered as a symbol for headhunters and their relations, the tribal peoples have since abandoned this expression (as well as headhunting) and lean towards more western ways. The symbols of their tattoos are minimal in documentation and may be seen in Aleks Figueroa’s forthcoming book on tattoos from the Philippines.
Today, those who have been tattooed are predominately of Filipino American descent. They have had keen interests in various styles- American, Japanese, or Polynesian tattooing or any of it’s influence.Today, tattooing is making a strong comeback. It is more popular and accepted than it has ever been. All classes of people seek the best tattoo artists. This rise in popularity has placed tattooists in the category of “fine artist”. The tattooist has garnered a respect not seen for over 100 years. Current artists combine the tr5adition of tattooing with their personal style creating unique and phenomenal body art. With the addition of new inks, tattooing has certainly reached a new plateau.

bro depende sa design na papagawa mo kung ganu ba cya kalake or ka detalye, im in too oriental tattooing yun ung forte ko ung detailed and fine line, check mo ung oriental category sa website. ang minimum ko 800 colored na yun 4×4 ang size ang sample nun mga flowers, hearts. pag sa dark image nag range ako ng 3,500 pataas, pag oriental designs nag range ng 6,000 pataas. maraming salamat po!!!

hello mr. luigi, i just want to know kung magkano ang 7 inches ang haba ng tattoo sa braso regardless sa lapad, dragon and tiger combination at yung isa ay combination ng tribal with the head of the white tiger, and i have my old tattoo at the back which is a black panther..how much naman ang retouch for old tattoo’s..bec. i’m planning to be inked again and can this be done in one day and how many session will it take…and your tattoo shop is my first choice …because i saw your work and it’s really a master piece and a great art of work..hoping for your reply mr. luigi…

I’m planning on having my left upper arm (deltoid area) inked. It’s been my loooong way over due plan. I wanted something that depicts infidelity, hatred, sorrow, despair, suffering, heartbreak… well, you get my point. At the same time loving kids, with a touch of nationality worn out Philippine flag. Probably a couple of kid’s name to go with it. I know as an artist you have tons of ideas on what to draw and interpret my idea.
I’m currently out of town working, my schedule in Manila will be on either the 11th or 16th. Can we set an appointment when you guys will be free?

im from bohol.. and hindi ko kabisado kung magkano presyo ng magpatattoo.. im planning to have one soon.
magkano kaya ang price nyo kung onepiece HALF NG BACKBODy. just about like 14″(width) by 10″(height) kung susukatin.. and it would be with some letterings and some designs.. just black and grey and a couple of reds..
kahit estimate lang po..para makapag ipon..
